Template:Maintenance category/doc

{{Maintenance category}} is a template used for marking a template as a maintenance category. It makes the category hidden, adds it to Category:Maintenance categories, and displays the following message:

This is a hidden maintenance category

It doesn't show up on articles by default. Users can make this category and others like it visible in their preferences.

Note that this category is populated automatically, and should not be added to manually. Moreover, it may be empty at times and should not be deleted as a result of this.
