This page details what information the Warick Wiki collects about its visitors and editors. It also contains the #Cookie policy. It was not written by a lawyer (or even a law student), and should be read with that in mind.

Logged-out users

No information is collected about logged-out users at all.

Logged-in users

For users with accounts that are logged-in, the Warwick Wiki keeps and stores any information that you choose to submit. This may include:

You can view your account data here. If you wish to rename or delete your account and its associated data, please get in contact. It may not always be possible to comply with your request in the cases of:

  • text submitted in edits;
  • files uploaded.

This is because the wiki is a collaborative effort and your work may have been built upon in a way which makes it difficult to remove. Moreover, all of your text contributions are licensed under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, meaning that they may be re-editted and re-distributed at will without any further consent from you. The same or similar also applies to any files you may have uploaded under a permissive license. However, please still get in contact if you wish to have this material removed and we'll see what we can do.

Cookie policy

If you're logged out, no cookies are stored.

If you're logged in, we store several cookies for the purposes of:

  • keeping you logged in as you browse between pages;
  • storing your preferences, particuarly with regard to editing.

Moreover, if we are running a site notice and you close it, we store a cookie to keep track of that. By using this site logged in, you agree to these uses of cookies.

We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes.
